Bronx, New York: Sam Chapman wiggles, dances, and swerves in vain as he tries to score from third on Dale Mitchell's fly to Hank Bauer in left, in the eighth inning at Yankee Stadium, May 17. A beautiful throw by Bauer and a lunging tag by catcher Yogi Berra combined to cut Chapman down and save the day for the Yankees, who won, 1-0. Umpire is Cal Hubbard. May 17, 1951.
