Peter Fonda on Being Loving and Open With His Own Children

Peter Fonda: Well yah um I-I was very upset when I had the divorce. I was so afraid that I would be like my father and be married five times and-and be distant from my children. But fortunately because of the way I am I’m a child and when I would be with Bridget and Justin as they were growing up, and then Thomas, who I brought into my family at 34, um I-I had a chance to be magical for them. And I-I wanted to be that person that I wanted my father to be to me. I wanted to be that but I knew enough that I couldn’t work hard to try to do that. To-to try to overcome what uh have ruined the tenure that happens between Bridget and myself the day and Justin and me, and my-my stepson Thomas. Interviewer: So you were more snuggly and… Peter Fonda: Oh absolutely. We’re tactile people. You know, I see the boys. If I don’t give them a hug and a kiss, they wonder what’s-what’s wrong.
