Congressman Stewart Questions Jeh Johnson About 2016 Election Integrity

Utah Congressman Chris Stewart tells former Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson at a hearing of the House Intelligence Committee inquiring into Russian interference in the 2016 election that he had predicted interference by the Russian government in the election, asking Johnson how to encourage a gullible press, Johnson responding that those who command a microphone be more responsible, that overheated rhetoric can hurt innocent people, that anyone with a keyboard and access to the Internet can say anything they want with little or no recourse because of the First Amendment. Johnson discusses having grown up with gatekeepers to news, such as evening broadcasts of Walter Cronkite. Stewart asks how to discern manipulated and valid news as elections in Europe and the United States.
