Russian Foreign Minister Visits N. Korea for 1st Time in 9 years

PYONGYANG, N. Korea -May 31: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov visited the North Korean capital Pyongyang by plane on Thursday, his first trip to the country since April 2009.During the one-day visit, Lavrov met with his North Korean counterpart Ri Yong Ho.After holding talks with Ri, he threw his support behind Kim's willingness to meet with Trump and suggested the need of achieving Pyongyang's denuclearization in stages.
