Students protest against apartheid, UK; 1969

A group of students, armed with placards reading, 'BLACK IS beautiful', 'DON'T SUPPORT SEGREGATED SPORT' and, 'KEEP THE "ALL WHITES" OUT', protest against the 1969–70 South Africa rugby union tour of Britain and Ireland. The students, from the University of Bristol, are demonstrating against the match due to take place in Newport, Wales and are possibly part of the 'Stop the Seventy Tour' campaign. It is not clear whether they are in Bristol or Newport, but it may be outside their students' union in Bristol. Shows a large group descending the steps of a Brutalist building and walking past the camera along a street in the direction of a bus. UK; 12th November 1969.
