Radio Host Lives On 30-Foot Scaffolding For 12 Days For Annual Toy Drive

Every year, Chet Buchanan, host and creator of 98.5 KLUC's "The Chet Buchanan Show," does his radio show and lives atop a 30-foot scaffold in the NV Energy parking lot for 12 consecutive days, never coming down, to bring attention to local families that need help during the holiday season. The completion of this year's toy drive will mark 264 days that Buchanan has lived on a scaffold, nearly nine months of his life. Since its inception, the campaign has collected an estimated USD 50-to-60 million in total value of toys, bicycles, cash and gift cards.
