Soviet Marshal Georgy Zhukov's uniform is on display on April 17, 2025 at the museum Berlin-Karlshorst where on the night of May 8-9, 1945, the supreme commanders of the Wehrmacht signed the unconditional surrender before representatives of the Soviet Union, the United States, Great Britain and France. As Germany marks 80 years since the end of World War II, one historic Berlin site is grappling with how to commemorate the Soviet role in defeating Nazism against the backdrop of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
