Farmer Hubert Bernhard Produces Green Electricity On His Apple Orchard

Bernhard produces an average of 630 kWh of electricity per day via his solar panels, depending on the length of sunshine. In addition to generating green electricity, solar panels bring other benefits to fruit growing. The plants are protected from hail and too much rain and as a result, require less pesticides and were, therefore, able to bring in a 100 per cent harvest last year.
