Jesus triumphal entry into Jerusalem Israel Palm Sunday, or the "Entry of the Lord into Jerusalem," as it is called in the Orthodox Church, is one of the twelve great feasts of the liturgical year. On the eve of Palm Sunday, Lazarus Saturday, believers usually prepare their palms by knotting them in the shape of a cross to prepare for the Sunday procession.
