Exhibition "The world's oldest gold" (in German)

29 November 2018, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Rostock: In the exhibition "The oldest gold in the world. The "Treasure of Varna" in the Museum of Cultural History is shown during a tour of the press before the opening of a reconstructed princely tomb with original finds from the Varna I cemetery. In the grave from the middle of the 5th millennium BC there are gold objects with a total weight of 1.5 kilograms. For the first time in Germany, the exhibition shows the world's oldest worked gold discovered during an archaeological excavation in the 1970s on the Black Sea.
