Senator Moran raises organ transplants with HHS nominee Becerra

Kansas Senator Jerry Moran provides Health and Human Services Secretary nominee Xavier Becerra at Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee nomination hearing with background on the United Network for Organ Sharing, which was currently being investigated by the Senate Finance Committee, and its intention to implement a policy in mid March opposed by most transplant professionals and that government data suggest will result in fewer transplants, asking the nominee to commit to collaborating with him on improving the kidney transplant program and guaranteeing that donated organs remain in proximity to where they were donated.
