The official opening of the Jane Austen Festival starts with the Grand Regency Costumed Promenade through the centre of Bath. The annual event sees 2000+ people parade through city where Jane Austen lived, dressed in regency costume with visitors from all over the world heading to Bath to take part in the event which this year marks the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen's birth.
