Bolivia's capital slowly begins to regain normality after a several-weeks-long crisis which ended with President Gonzalo Sanchez de Lozada's resignation Friday. Former vice president Carlos Mesa began his first day as Bolivian president Saturday after Sanchez de Lozada quit and flew with his family to the United States after weeks of upheaval over a gas pipeline during which more than 80 people died.
