In her lifetime she has written, edited and translated many works from German to English. She is the widow of the very well-loved former rabbi of Temple Israel of Hollywood, Max Nussbaum (rabbi from 1942 - 1975) and was interviewed on NPR in 2007 about the a visit from Martin Luther King to speak at Temple Israel of Hollywood in 1965..
