Manor house Parow before renovation

19 October 2018, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Parow: View of a panel with the stroke "Siege" at the manor house north of Stralsund. In 1860 the manor house was built in a mixture of English and German style in the form of a small castle. From 1775 until its expropriation in 1945, the estate was owned by the von Langen family. The best known representative of the family was Carl-Friedrich Freiherr von Langen, who won the 1928 Olympic dressage competition in Amsterdam. A plaque on the manor house commemorates him. It is currently empty. Soon the construction workers are to move in and end the Sleeping Beauty sleep, because the manor house is to be converted into the chic administrative headquarters of the Altenpleen office.
