This is a Home story that will have several layers. The first is the obvious design: a hyper–modern interpretation of a ranch house built on ranchland in Somis. Walls of windows frame orange and lemon groves. Another layer is the backstory to the house: Owner Steve Sharpe has known architect Zoltan Pali for more than 20 years, and the two have been planning a dream house for Sharpe for almost as long. Over the, the personal taste of both men has changed, and so has the house design. The original design was more Montecello than Southern California, and over time the plan has morphed into the striking piece of architecture it is today.
