All vote centers for the 2024 presidential election in San Diego, California are closed at 8 p.m. on election day, November 5th. Following this, the staff of the San Diego Registrar of Voters Office quickly transport the ballots from the vote centers to be processed and counted. At the Registrar's Office, hundreds of staff members work overnight to tally the votes, despite Kamala Harris having already secured victory in California.
