Fatal shooting in New York City with crime skyrocketing

NEW YORK, UNITED STATES - SEPTEMBER 01: The New York Police Department investigates the scene of the shooting where a 37-year-old man was killed in Brooklyn, New York, United States on September 01, 2024. At approximately 8:09 am, Sunday morning in the area of St. John's Place, Brooklyn, a 37-year-old male was shot. The man was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. On the scene, shell casings along with blood and a phone charger were recovered at the scene with evidence markers being placed by police. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
