The Giant's Causeway in Ireland

The Giant's Causeway (in English Giant's Causeway; in Irish Clochán an Aifir, archaically known as Clochán na bhFomhórach; in Ulster Scots Giant's Causey) is a natural rocky outcrop located on the north east coast of Ireland about 3 km north of the town of Bushmills, in County Antrim in Northern Ireland made up of about 40 000 basalt columns of volcanic origin; the suggestive shape of the rocks has inspired ancient legends that tell of giants and titanic battles.
