Flash of the Christmas star festival in Lviv

LVIV, UKRAINE - DECEMBER 30: People attend the traditional festival 'Flash of the Christmas Star' as it returns to Lviv, with a colorful procession of stars in the city center on December 30, 2024. Last year, due to heavy shelling of Ukrainian cities and security concerns, the Procession had to be canceled. The last time the event took place was in January 2022. Lviv residents and guests of the city can walk in the glow of Christmas stars, each of which carries a piece of light from the Star of Bethlehem. Each of them is different in decoration and meaning: the Berehynia, Peace, Patriotic, Dedication to Doctors, Heroic, Yavoriv, Heavenly Hundred, and hundreds of other large and small stars.
