(Original Caption) Ken Venturi, amateur, who almost became the first amateur to win the Masters Golf Tournament, is shown blasting from a trap on the eighteenth hole. Needing a birdie three to tie Jackie Burke, the eventual winner, on this hole, Venturi blasted to within nine feet of the cup. He then proceeded to miss the short putt and wound up with a par four which landed him one stroke behind Burke, for a second place finish, with a score of 290.
