In six days, from June 5 to 10, 1967, Israel seized the Syrian Golan Heights, the West Bank annexed by Jordan, including East Jerusalem, the Egyptian Sinai Peninsula as well as the Gaza Strip occupied by Egypt, thus giving the conflict the name of the Six-Day War.
