(Original Caption) Famed Mexican Painter Laid to Rest. Mexico City, Mexico: Hundreds of mourners crowd around entrance of Bellas Artes today as the remains of Mexico's famed painter, Diego Rivera, is carried to hearse for his last journey to Dolores Cemetery for burial. The artist, whose work is known the world over, died at his home Sunday night of a heart attack. He would have been 71 years old next week. Rivera, who was partially paralyzed in his right hand and arm by an attack of phlebitis six weeks ago, had been working on three murals for a south american government when he was stricken. His heart specialist visited him Saturday and warned his wife, Ama Hurtado, 51, the end was near. He was buried in the "Circle of the Illustrious".
