Operation Anaconda

Two al Qaeda militants were shot and killed in a cave March 16, 2002 during Operation Anaconda along the southern ridge of the Shah-i-kot Valley. The cave search is known as Operation Harpoon. U.S. and Canadian forces in the area of the Shah-i Kot Valley have identified and destroyed 24 openings or caves and found seven more. All caves are searched and blown up.
