Rubella Viruses. TEM X250,250
Rubella is no longer a public threat in the United States due to the high number of children who have received the MMR vaccine. Rubella is a mild childhood illness but pregnant women who contract Rubella during the first trimester are at risk of miscarriage, still births and birth defects. In the U.S. children are routinely vaccinated against Rubella with the MMR vaccine (measles, mumps, and rubella).
