Wow, it was a crazy trip to the Alps. 1200km within 27 Hours without sleep. My first destination for the sunrise was actually the Geroldsee in Bavaria. The castle Neuschwanstein was on my way, so I wanted to take a look on it. Well, I didn't see much first because the castle will not being illuminated in the night. But then I saw some low fog patches in that area and decided to wait here for the sunrise - and that decision has more than paid off. Great point of view, autumn foliage, fog and alpenglow in the background - it could hardly be better.
