CILIATED EPITHELIUM and GOBLET CELLS---PSEUDOSTRATIFIED CILIATED COLUMNAR EPITHELIUM, Trachea, 250X. This image shows ciliated cells and four Goblet Cells that secrete mucus (the light colored areas). This epithelium looks as if it is stratified, however, all the cells touch the basement membrane. The ciliary action is constantly moving particulate matter away from the trachea and lungs.
