What Up Erybody!!! Artist* Producer*Entrepreneur
Chali G is the CEO of M-DUB Entertainment. Born a child prodigy, he grew into his musical gifts at a young age. He began rapping at the age of 5 and was trained from the ages of 8 to 16 by the late great Charley Bannister and his staff at the Detroit Drum School. Beginning with the drum set and african drums he eventually mastered a wide array of percussion based instruments. He evolved into writing and producing his own unique blends of HipHop, Gangsta Hardcore, Pop/Modern, R & B and Experimental musical sounds.
An underground performer, Chali G perfected his craft as well as paved the road for future talents. M-DUB launched his career in 2009 when his music began to be played by national networks and popular tv programming.
The head producer and arranger for M-DUB, he likes to stay close to the action to ensure his clients and projects are air quality and marketable products. A native Detroiter, Chali G creates and composes original works placing his gifts and talents high among the nations best. He has collaborated with Strike (Mountian Climbaz, Likkity Split in the movie 8 Mile) Swann (battle champion) and he is a founding member of the Black Lagoon (Formula 313rd, Pimp Bonez, Star). He eventually left the BL and began his own company M-Dub Entertainment LLC.
In 2006 he released the Trutagame EP. His works have been used by MTV(Date My Mom; Pimp My Ride), The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Discovery Channel, HGTV, VH1, The Diary of 50 Cent, The Diary of T.I., The Diary of Rihanna, Estee Lauder, ABC News, and The NBA thanks to Pump Audio/Getty Images Licensing. He believes that artists are the nerve endings of humanity. With each song being an emotion/color he paints portraits through song. “Picasso wouldn’t use one color to express ideas, he used different colors/shades to develop a masterpiece,” so in short he is very versatile.
His influences include hip-hop, rap, funk, soul, old school R & B, dancehall, and booty music. His sound is a mixture between Tupac, Dre, Twista, Bone Thugz, Timbaland, and Dominoe. He has opened up for De La Soul, Hieroglyphics, and Run DMC (closely before Jam Master Jay’s untimely death). He is an artist to watch so keep your eyes open for Chali G. www.cdbaby.com/cd/chalig
