Palestinian camel owner Suleiman al-Mesmari leads his two animals, that had gone missing from the Gaza Strip during the recent bloody 50-day-conflict with Israel, after they were handed back by the Israeli army, on September 27, 2014 in Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip. Israeli media reported great efforts undertaken by the military to retrieve the expensive animals, with owner Suleiman al-Mesmari saying he had been contacting Israeli authorities on the matter for over a month. On September 25 night a surveillance team along the Gaza border tracked the camels down and troops shepherded them back into Palestinian territory, reuniting them with their Bedouin owners.
