Kashmir Continues To Recover From Devastating Floods

The recent floods in the Indian administered Kashmir wiped out every business in Srinagar. As the flood waters recede, the scope of devastation is slowly being revealed, with the government's initial assessment saying Kashmir has suffered losses of around 1,00,000 Crore (USD 16240 Million). The floods in the Himalayan region of Kashmir were believed to be the worst in decades .The catastrophic floods which ravaged Indian administered Kashmir killed 315 people and damage to public and private property and agriculture has been devastating in the valley.
