An Exclusive View Behind The Scene Of 'Paris Merveilles' : Lido New Revue, Created And Directed By Franco Dragone

PARIS, FRANCE - MARCH 30: General atmosphere is seen prior to the first public rehearsal of "Paris Merveille" Lido new revue created by Franco Dragone at Le Lido on March 30, 2015 in Paris, France. Lido de Paris, situated on Avenue des Champs-Elysees, opened its doors in 1928 and is one of the most famous cabarets in the world. After a 3 month closure, Lido De Paris is unveiling its 27th revue ‘Paris Merveilles’, created and directed by Franco Dragone (known for his work with Cirque du Soleil and founder and the artistic director of Dragone). The show features upbeat choreographies led by the famous Bluebell Girls and Lido Boys in magnificent costumes. The show’s 600 costumes have been created by Designer Nicolas Vaudelet (former collaborator of Jean Paul Gaultier and Christian Lacroix) in Dragone’s own costume workshop in La Louviere in Belgium. The stage is transformed with the latest technical innovation in lighting, machinery and special effects to portray various iconic Parisian sites and features a monumental staircase with Art Nouveau spirals and a 5-meter-high chandelier made with 40, 000 pearls.
