TO GO WITH AFP STORY BY ANDREA PALASCIANO French developer REI founder and Chairman Paul Jarquin poses inside a wooden framework building his company developed, on July 11, 2014 at a construction site in Montreuil, a suburb of Paris. The building is part of a collective eco-housing programm focused on the use of timber. While the construction sector is responsible for a quarter of greenhouse gas emissions, REI highlights the wood as the sole construction material which is entirely renewable: it stores the CO2 which causes global warming and the waste it produces is easily recyclable.
