Turkey's Presidential Yacht MV Savarona

ISTANBUL, TURKEY: File photo dated 18/08/2014 shows the MV Savarona, the state yacht of the Republic of Turkey, at the Bosphorus in Istanbul, Turkey. The MV Savarona which was built in 1931, was purchased by the Turkish government and presented to Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of the Turkish Republic, in 1938. The Savarona is now reserved for the use of the Turkey's President after her restoration for official meetings. The first official meeting at the MV Savarona was held between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Bakir Izetbegovic member of the tripartite Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina on March 04, 2015. The Savarona is 136 meters long (446 feet), her beam is 136 meters long (52.6 feet) and her maximum speed is 18 knots, cruising speed 16 knots.
