Germany Expands Its Underground Electricity Grid

For the first time in Germany, Amprion are laying 380kV power cables underground which will stretch over a distance of 3.4km, as part of a pilot project. Germany is expanding its electricity grid in order to connect new offshore wind parks in the North Sea.
