The Plaza de España is an architectural ensemble in the María Luisa Park of the city of Seville (Spain), designed by the architect Aníbal González.   It was built between 1914 and 1929 as the main building of the Ibero-American Exhibition of 1929 and is also the largest of those that rose in the city throughout the twentieth century. The square has170 meters in diameter and a semi-elliptical shape, symbolizing the embrace of Spain to its former American territories, and looks towards the Guadalquivir River, as a way to continue to America.
